Maximum Ride Forever James Patterson Books
Amazon Prime isn't all it's supposed to be. Okay, I know that has nothing to do with the book at hand, but it affects how I felt as I went into it. You see, when you have Amazon Prime, you can have a family account. How exciting is that? That means we shouldn't have to replicate purchases. My husband has a normal amount of books in his Kindle collection. The Maximum Ride Forever was a part of it. I tried to borrow it.Okay, let me back up here. I have a full public library's amount of Kindle books and I get more every day. With Prime, my poor husband was getting all my books onto his Fire carousel. So he called Amazon and they worked him through a couple fixes (two phone calls). He thought he had it fixed. But as of that moment, his copy of Maximum Ride Forever disappeared from my carousel with only 15% read. After much hassle, we decided to sign him into my Audible so I could listen to it on my tablet. Phooey with the book. So I spent my day listening to the story while I sewed. Not a bad way to read, huh?
Kasey Lee Huizinga does an amazing job as narrator for the story. She encompasses Max's attitude. She does all the characters with the acting skills that should be on Broadway. BUT...
I just wasn't thrilled with yet another Maximum Ride book that seemed the same as the last few. Boring! Even in the height of adventure, even with bad things happening left and right, it seemed the same story as last time and the time before. Sure, it was a distraction I was glad to put my non-sewing mind to. Still, I found myself calling out to the room, "Again?" I know. What do I want for a post-apocalyptic world that still had mutants in it? There were a couple surprises but I shall not place a spoiler here if you can read it and be as surprised as I was with each... bad or good surprises.
By the way, I think that listening to Maximum Ride is far better than reading it. Get the Audible version if you can. Just an FYI: the Kindle version is $9.99. Too high for me. But it does have text-to-speech. It may not be as much fun as with Kasey Lee Huizinga, but it could help the story go faster as you drive and listen.

Maximum Ride Forever James Patterson Books Reviews
I am a Middle Grades teacher of Literacy and I must admit to the fact that I have introduced hundreds of my students to Max. My present students were overjoyed to know another book was available to read. My students and I found the read wonderful. Sure we all noted little glitches with characters here and there in the story but the biggest was Fangs death. One by one as we reached that part in the narrative we all said," NAW NOT REAL!!!" We also collectively knew that Max was pregnant from her one night with Fang( Thank from a teacher that you underwrote that scene!!!).All in all we voted the book ANOTHER HIT!!! Everyone wants to know.... is there another waiting in the WINGS?
Love love love!!! Just like with the other Maximum Ride books, I couldn't put this one down! The ending was great...I didn't see it coming. My only wish is that it could have been a bit longer!
My absolute favorite book series aside from the Harry Potter books!
My teenager talked me into reading this series. I wasn't to interested looked like a teen story. But I was hooked. I've laughed I've cried through all the books. I'm so so happy that this last book was written. What an amazing end to this amazing series. So sad it's over.
Oh yeah.. another Maximum Ride! I started buying this series for my 10 yr old grand-daughter, but quickly got caught up myself. I pre-ordered this time so she was the first of her friends to read this latest. I am a hero! This series is clearly a fantastical plot, but James Patterson makes these characters so life-like, quirky, heroic, and complete that it is easy to suspend reality for a while and enter Max's world.
SUCH A GREAT BOOK! I loved the eighth book so much, so I was a little hesitant to read this one, but it was amazing, at least in the end. Some cheap-rate plot twists were used, but as the story went on, they were straightened out. Read until the end, no matter what. I'm left crying tears of sadness and joy. Beautiful end.
I read all four of his books, i liked the first three, disappointed in the fourth book, paying for repeat of story line, waste of my money, this last book should have been a paper back, was not worth the cost of a hard cover book, i am sure young people will enjoy it, but to much describing things over and over. felt like i was ripped off money wise on this series. I read all kinds of books, like all kinds but very disappointed in James Patterson on this group. He is amazing writer, not sure if he is writing this or a group thing, but felt like it was all about the cash to them.
Sometimes the last book in a series is quite a disappointment, but this one was not - at all. I think there's a comic after this book but I hardly think that counts. This last book ended the story well and gave the characters a "happily ever after" so that you know it's over. The final battle was pretty epic, so this book wasn't a letdown either.
I've read all the Maximum Ride books and I loved it. This last book made me cry. It was really good and the readers will love how Max's journey ends. It would be nice if James Patterson did more.
